Co-production Care are a complex care provider that help people live a meaningful life beyond diagnosis, within co-produced community placements.
We bring together people with lived experience, professionals, stakeholders and local communities from the outset, to help ensure we have a 360 perspective and ongoing input in supporting the best quality of life for people in the community.
We believe working alongside experts by experience to harness lived experience, brings a unique perspective in enhancing meaningful activity, independence, compassionate care and open cultures.
What is Co-production?
The term 'co-production' describes working in partnership by sharing power between people who draw on care and support, carers, families and citizens.
This guide is describes what co-production is and how to do it. It was co-produced with people who draw on care and support, carers, support providers and staff from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).
Our PBS plans are based on Functional behavioural assessments (FBA) and feed into every element of the individualised support provided to tenants and the staff providing support.
All of our tenants have access to and are overseen by to an experienced Multi-discplinary team consisting of a psychiatrist, psychologist, RMN/RNLD, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist and a PBS/Violence Reduction Expert.
Our services are supported by a team of experts by experience who have direct lived experience of both using and caring for people who have used care providers. The unique insights provided by people with lived experience enable:
We have a strong focus on physical health care recognising the disparities and mortality gaps in comparison the general population for people with.
Our environments are built around the people we support. Where required adjustments to both the environment and staff expertise can be modified to ensure the best quality of life possible.
All of our services have a dedicated sensory room along with sensory integration throughout the build environment, including bedrooms.
At Co-production Care Group, all of our support staff are required to undertake the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. This training programme aids staff in better understanding how to support people with Learning Disabilities and Autism with a key focus on ensuring staff across health and social care develop a common understanding of key issues and that consistent language is used across health and care organisations. Our belief in compassion is rooted at every level of our organisation from the focus on compassionate within our staff training locally to the compassionate leadership focus on a strategic level.

What are Experts by Experience?
Experts by Experience are people who have direct lived experience of using or caring for someone who has used health and/or social care services.
Experts by Experience play a pivotal role in helping the sector better understand priorities and solutions through harnessing their invaluable lived experience to co-produce and improve service provision and policy change.

At Co-production Care Group, all of our services use renewable 'green' energy and we have extensive recycling programmes to support societies efforts to be environmentally friendly and combat climate change.
We publish our sustainability performance indicators in our yearly quality account which we share with our tenants and stakeholders.
We also ensure sustainability is incorporated as part of our staff training to reduce our carbon footprint through education and raising awareness.
We only work with suppliers who are committed to and have a published sustainability strategy, ensuring our efforts are as impactful as possible and to incentivise suppliers to go green.
